This is my first feature, borne of anxiety over Large Language Models circa 2023. What those algorithms were doing to society was crazy then – and it’s even crazier now.
If anything, this near-future thriller feels as though it didn’t predict how far I could take things. A I improve the script I intend to take on issues like ‘AI Psychosis’ and pry open the heart of our techno-addictions in the process.
It’s one thing to extrapolate our dependence on virtual faces and virtual names; it’s another to unpack loneliness and yearning and how it leads us into dark, twisted places.
